New Luxury Apartments Come To Charles River Park and The West End

Not all that long ago the brand new WEST END APARTMENTS adjacent to Massachusetts General Hospital and Charles River Park were just getting started. Now, the first of the five WEST END APARTMENT buildings, VESTA, is ready for occupancy. VESTA is the 14 story building on Storrow Drive. It\'s the one with the floor-to-ceiling windows.

VESTA is the first phase of the WEST END APARTMENTS. In VESTA there is a combination of 104 one and two bedrooms units – there are no studios or three bedroom units, those come in phase two. Sixty of the VESTA units have already been rented even though visitors were only recently permitted to enter the building – tenants rented them virtually sight unseen. Rental prices in VESTA start at $2,300 and top off at $9,900 a month. One of the 50 that rented was a 14th floor two bedroom Penthouse at $9,900. Interestingly, it was rented by a family that simply wanted a place to stay when they visit Boston – it is not their primary residence.
 
My tour of VESTA in the new WEST END APARTMENTS was a Realtors® delight. As a long time resident of the West End, it is good to see new life being breathed into the neighborhood. In Boston, new construction in established neighborhoods has historically elevated the value of surrounding property. It happened most recently on the South End on Washington Street and it will happen in the West End with the completion of the WEST END APARTMENTS.

Rental prices and the quality of the WEST END APARTMENTS is certain to bring an affluent conflux of age groups to the area and that can only be a good thing for all of us living in Charles River Park and in the WEST END APARTMENTS.
