Discover CRP

Originally designed as an in-town tennis community, Charles River Park continues to exude the feeling of an oasis in the city nestled as it is on 45 acres of landscaped parkland. Boasting Boston’s largest outdoor pool facility complete with rental cabanas and an outdoor summer café, several private tennis courts, park benches and squirrel watching, it is a most pleasant place to live.

Charles River Park is a community with a strong sense of self. It is a place where homeowners can participate in neighborhood events or be as private as they may wish – it’s an individual choice.

It doesn’t take residents long to recognize the friendly faces of our own security personnel as they patrol the grounds on foot, bicycle and auto They too come to know you as a resident. The same applies to the concierges that staff all buildings.

The profile of Charles River Park residents and the age diversity speaks to its location in the city. Approximately 1/3 are young professionals either involved in the medical community (Spaulding, Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Massachusetts General Hospital and Shriners Burns are all within 4 minutes of CRP) or in the field of finance because Charles River Park is only an 8 minute walk to Government Center or 10 minutes the Financial District.

Another third are between the ages of approximately 35 and 45, have lived in CRP for a number of years, are growing families and moving to the suburbs. Finally, the remaining third are senior citizens and they aren’t going any where! Life is just too comfortable to move from Charles River Park!

It is noteworthy that of the 950 or so condominiums in Charles River Park, only about 50-70 changes ownership annually and many of those are doctors that have completed their residency at MGH. Charles River Park is a very stable community.

The Victorian Boston Public Garden and Colonial-period Boston Common can be reached in a fifteen-minute walk from CRP via Charles Street.

The Charles River Esplanade is one of the longest strings of Frederick Law Olmstead’s “Emerald Necklace,” just a ten-minute walk from CRP. And don’t forget that Boston is the site of a National Historical Park.

Boston is a walking city. Visitors walk The Freedom Trail following red bricks inserted into the pavement. A walk along the Freedom Trail takes one past many points of historical significance.

Each April, Boston turns into a running city as it hosts The Boston Marathon. Runners and visitors from around the world converge on the city to participate or watch the historic event.
